Portraits of River Guides, Whitewater Kayakers, And an Occasional Dog
This portrait photography collection focuses on the people who live and work on rivers. River guides, whitewater kayakers, expedition staff, and the broader river community are photographed in the environments where their work and lifestyle take place.
These portraits are created during river trips or while preparing for them. They offer an authentic look at the Western whitewater lifestyle and the individuals who make their living on the water. Mentors, coworkers, community members, and long-time professionals are all part of this ongoing body of work.
As a river-based photographer, I specialize in environmental portraiture in remote and dynamic locations. These sessions are designed to be efficient, natural, and unobtrusive while still producing professional portraits suitable for marketing, editorial use, brand storytelling, and organizational communications.
If your company or organization needs professionally captured portraits on any river, you can request a shoot or call 916-990-5487.
